Let us inspire your living space
Beach House Living Studio is a full service interior design firm focusing on residential and commercial projects - we are available to assist in all aspects of an interior project from start to finish, including consulting with architects and contractors, creating cohesive design plans for all interior finishes to final installation and styling.
Vanessa purchased Beach House Living Studio in July 2020, after successfully working alongside previous owner (and mentor) Sally Barnard. Vanessa has helped build Beach House Living Studio into a leading design company in Hermanus known for its understated, modern coastal and functional interiors that reflect each client’s personality. Vanessa brings a unique combination of creative and industry experience honed from over a decade working on residential and commercial interior projects, often with repeat clients. Vanessa leads from the heart and skillfully brings together the needs of each client with her own creative vision for a successful project.
Tehila has been part of the Beach House Living Studio team for the last 5 years, working alongside Vanessa on each interior project, whilst obtaining her qualification. Tehila brings an unwavering enthusiastic spirit to the team, allowing the business to accelerate its growth through creativity, careful planning, and incredible hard work. We meet our clients’ objectives by determining the best utilisation of their space via 3D designing to demonstrate conceptual & material direction, spatial balance, unity of visual elements, correct emphasis on focal points and colour use to enhance spatial flow.
Fabric & Colour Palette Selections
Our Design Studio includes a fabric & sample library where you can browse our extensive local & international fabric ranges with one of our qualified interior experts. This includes wallpaper and all hardware. We also happily assist with compilations of colour palettes, including interior & exterior paint, kitchen & bathroom selections (including finishes such as tiles, cabinetry, sanitary ware & hardware).
We are able to manufacture a wide variety of custom designed elements of the highest quality. Our experienced design and manufacture teams are able to build complete bespoke, modern or traditional furniture and fittings, customised to your space / interior.
Customised Furniture & Re-upholstery
Creative Direction for Interior Spaces
Creative direction is the management of the entire creative process of design - Our qualified interior team will work with you to create / design a space suited to your needs and preferences.
Window Finishes
We produce various custom Window Finishes such as Curtains, Roman Blinds, Venetian Blinds, Roller Blinds (Indoor & Outdoor), Window Film and all accompanying Hardware (in various finishes).
Styling and Staging
Many clients often need advice on ways to improve the presentation or functionality of a space, with our Interior Styling Service, we can take you through each room of your home and recommend which areas need attention / updating / re-styling. Pre-Sale Property Styling assists home owners with styling their homes for new potential buyers.
This service includes: Full styling with existing Furnishings & Homeware, Organising & Storage Solutions and Furniture Placement and Re-Arrangement.
Space Planning

Interior Sourcing & Procurment
Our Sourcing Service is about finding the right piece for you and your space - whether you are looking for a one-off custom-made piece or for furnishings to fill an entire room, we are able to do this locally from afar. This includes Furniture, Rugs, Accessories and Wall Art.
Project Installations
Our team includes professional installers that will install all interior elements including Window Finishes, Wallpaper, Wall Art, Mirrors, Shelving and Bathroom Fitments.
Quality Control & Project Management
Our qualified interior team will oversee every single aspect of the project, including timeline management, site inspections, quality control and correction of snags.
